The SIMID Project was presented to some of the key players of the A&D Industry on June 20th, 2013, during the 50th International Paris Air Show Le Bourget.

The audience composed of the representatives of the French Direction Générale de l’Aviation Civile (DGAC), large companies, SMEs and the Bureau de la Normalisation de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace (BNAE) showed a great interest to the project by asking several questions on its dual nature (civil/military) and the standardization of data.

The partners would like to thank the audience for attending and Aerospace Valley for the organization and hosting on its booth of this event.




News - French meeting on Data Warehousing and OLAP PDF Print E-mail

During the 8th French meeting on Data Warehousing and OLAP (EDA'12), organized by LaBRI in June 12th and 13th 2012, Franck Duluc talked about SIMID and more generally the problems related to the data management in the field of aircraft maintenance.

The participants enjoyed the conference. The technological challenges addressed in the project allowed to have many discussions between researchers and our speaker. Everyone seems satisfied with this exchange that we hope will allow SIMID good to have echoes in the scientific and technical communities.

News - 7th technical forum of Aerospace Valley PDF Print E-mail

During the 7th annual technical forum of Aerospace Valley dedicated to its members, the SIMID project was presented. This forum  was held in the South West of France.

The members showed a great interest in the challenges to be overcome within the framework of the project.

Aerospace Valley is a world competitiveness cluster in Aeronautics, Space and Embedded systems which gathered more than 500 members as large groups from aeronautics, SMEs, laboratories and universities.

In the field of aircraft maintenance, SIMID Partners have strong interest in issues related to the growing volume of heterogeneous data in complex environments, based on emerging architectures such as Web data and cloud computing.

What are the prospects and challenges of the decision support tools for companies facing the data processing needs in a changing environment?

Franck DULUC, SIMID project leader and Airbus R&D manager, will give a talk during the 8th French meeting on Data Warehousing and OLAP (EDA'12), organized by LaBRI, a scientific partner of SIMID project. The conference will be held in June 12th and 13th, 2012.

This annual event offers an opportunity of exchange between researchers, manufacturers and users of scientific and operational advances about on-line analytical processing and data warehouses which are fundamental tools of business intelligence.

To facilitate and accelerate digital collaboration between partners, the SIMID consortium decided to use the AirCollab service provided by the European Aerospace Digital Hub called BoostAeroSpace.


Created by EADS / Airbus, Dassault Aviation, Thales and Safran, AirCollab was launched in April 2011.
Two other services (AirDesign and AirSupply) are provided by BoostAeroSpace to improve cooperation among the aviation industry community.
